Just as he was for millions, President Barack Obama was a constant example to me on keeping perspective, celebrating intelligence and diversity, and conducting oneself with honor and patience in all realms professional and personal. I drew this after listening to his farewell address, as we close in on a concerning chapter in American history. I was there at his inauguration, and though I have disagreed with him on topics and decisions, I have always been proud and thankful that he served our country as he has.

Let Us Be Perfectly Clear is a collection of Paul Hornschemeier's full-color short stories and shows off his playful experimental side and his protean stylistic verve. Perfectly Clear brings back into print stories that Hornschemeier published prior to his Three Paradoxes Fantagraphics debut from a variety of sources―his own self-published Forlorn Funnies, as well as strips that originally appeared in independent magazines and papers―none of which has been available to the book trade.

The book is designed as a "flip book" in the tradition of the old Ace paperbacks, with one side featuring comedic work (or as comedic as Hornschemeier's mind allows), and the other decidedly more morose. With almost every page, we see a new style, a new direction; with the resultant effect being that of an anthology by creators of vastly contrasting sensibilities.

All and Sundry: Uncollected Work 2004-2009 corrals Paul Hornschemeier’s work from 2004-2009 ― work previously ungathered, and in many cases never before seen in print.
The collection concludes with extensive selections from sketches and sketchbooks, providing an unusual glimpse at the chaotic world of Hornschemeier’s work, before the polishing of lines and colors of the printed page. Here we see how works have developed and what the future holds for still gestating projects.
